Vision Australia’s annual Carols by Candlelight event was once again a roaring success on Christmas Eve 2018. With crowds in their thousands flocking to the star-studded event, Vision Australia was able to raise money for those living with impaired vision. The event was filled with much-loved Australian musical talents, including the likes of Dami Im and Anthony Callea.
While those who attended were able to enjoy the nights entertainment and sing along to Christmas classics, organizers had prioritized the safety of the events attendees by opting to deploy anti-vehicle barriers.
The Archer 1200 portable hostile vehicle mitigation system had been deployed at three road closures to assist in securing the event.
With changing circumstances world-wide, we can never be too careful. When the option to improve security measures is available, organizers and stakeholders everywhere are taking the right steps to ensure our safety.
Short-term deployment makes the Archer 1200 the perfect solution for hardening the perimeter of locations drawing crowds for events and other festivities. The modular design means each deployment configuration can be adapted to suit the event, environment and threat levels at any given location.
